What is Projected Cash Flow?

Projected Cash Flow is a financial planning tool that connects to your Lunch Money account to create accurate cash flow projections. It helps you see exactly when accounts might run low, plan major purchases, and make confident financial decisions.

How is this different from budgeting apps?

While budgeting apps focus on tracking past spending and setting limits, we focus on projecting future balances. We answer "Will I have enough money on this date?" rather than "How much did I spend last month?"

Do I need a Lunch Money account?

Yes, we integrate exclusively with Lunch Money for bank connections and transaction data. They handle the complex bank integrations securely, while we focus on projections.

Is there a mobile app?

Not yet, but our web app is mobile-responsive and works well on phones and tablets. A dedicated mobile app is on our roadmap.

How much does it cost?

  • Free Trial: 14 days with full features
  • Pro Plan: $4.99/month after trial
  • No hidden fees: Cancel anytime

Do I need a credit card for the trial?

No! Start your 14-day trial without any payment information. Only add a card if you decide to continue.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period.

Are there refunds?

We offer refunds for the unused portion of your subscription if you're not satisfied. Contact support within 30 days.

Security & Privacy

Is my financial data safe?

Absolutely. We use bank-level security:

  • API keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM
  • All connections use HTTPS/TLS
  • We never store your actual transaction data
  • No access to your bank credentials

What data do you store?

We only store:

  • Your encrypted Lunch Money API key
  • Projection preferences
  • One-time transactions you create
  • Account settings

We do NOT store:

  • Bank credentials
  • Transaction history
  • Account numbers
  • Personal financial details

Can you see my transactions?

No. Transaction data is fetched on-demand from Lunch Money and never stored in our database. Only you can see your financial information.

Is this compliant with regulations?

Yes, we follow industry best practices for data security and privacy. We're compliant with standard data protection regulations.

Using the App

How often should I refresh my data?

We recommend refreshing daily for the most accurate projections. Data syncs automatically when you log in and can be manually refreshed anytime.

Why wasn't my recurring transaction detected?

Our system needs at least 2-3 consistent occurrences to detect a pattern. Factors include:

  • Similar descriptions
  • Consistent amounts (±10% variance)
  • Regular timing

Can I share my projections?

Currently, accounts are individual only. Shared accounts and family planning features are on our roadmap.

How far ahead can I project?

You can project up to 1 year into the future, though accuracy is best within 90 days. Default view is 90 days.

Technical Questions

Which browsers are supported?

We support modern versions of:

Does it work internationally?

Yes! We support any currency that Lunch Money supports. Projections work the same regardless of currency.

Can I export my data?

Yes, you can export projections and transaction lists as CSV files for use in spreadsheets or other tools.

Is there an API?

Not currently, but it's on our roadmap for power users and developers.

Account Management

How do I change my email?

Go to Settings → Account and update your email address. You'll need to verify the new email.

I forgot my password

Click "Forgot password?" on the sign-in page. We'll send reset instructions to your email.

Can I have multiple Lunch Money connections?

Currently, each account supports one Lunch Money connection. Multiple connection support is planned.

How do I delete my account?

Contact support to delete your account. We'll remove all your data permanently within 30 days.

Troubleshooting

My balance seems wrong

  1. Refresh your data from Lunch Money
  2. Check the balance in Lunch Money first
  3. Verify all recurring transactions are correct
  4. Review any ignored transactions

Projections aren't updating

  • Force a manual refresh in Settings
  • Check your Lunch Money connection
  • Ensure your API key is valid
  • Clear your browser cache

I'm getting sync errors

  • Verify your API key is correct
  • Check if Lunch Money is accessible
  • Try generating a new API key
  • Contact support if issues persist
