New Feature: Crypto Accounts Now Included in Your Cash Flow

David Childs

Projected Cash Flow pulls in your bank accounts and manually-tracked assets from Lunch Money to build your net worth and cash flow projections. Until now, one type of account was missing from that picture: crypto. If you hold any cryptocurrency tracked in Lunch Money, it simply wasn't part of your numbers here. That's fixed.

Why This Matters

If part of your net worth lives in crypto — whether it's a small allocation or a meaningful chunk of what you own — leaving it out means your net worth and projections were never quite telling the whole story. You'd have to mentally add it back in every time you looked at your dashboard.

How It Works

Projected Cash Flow now pulls in every crypto account associated with your Lunch Money account — whether it's a manually tracked holding or one synced automatically through Lunch Money — and folds it into:

  • Your Net Worth total, alongside your bank accounts and other assets
  • The account sidebar, grouped in its own dedicated Crypto section
  • Your cash flow projection, if you include a crypto account in your current selection

There's nothing to connect or configure. If Lunch Money already knows about your crypto holdings, Projected Cash Flow will show them the next time you load your dashboard.

Getting Started

If you already track crypto in Lunch Money, just open your dashboard — you'll see a new Crypto section in the account sidebar alongside your bank and manual accounts. Select it like any other account to include it in your projection.

If you don't yet track crypto in Lunch Money and want to, you can add a manual crypto holding directly from the Lunch Money web app; it'll appear here automatically the next time your accounts refresh.
